Tiverton Library Late Fees: 'Food For Fines' Waiver
Library users can bring non-expired, non-perishable items to go to families in need, and the library will waive any late fees.

TIVERTON, RI – If you’re like most people, getting fined is never any fun, especially when it comes to overdue library books. The good news is if you owe any fines to the Tiverton Public Library, you may be able have your fines forgiven.
Through Nov. 30, library users can bring non-expired, non-perishable items to donate to families in need, and the library will waive any late fees.
According to the library, one food item equals one dollar off. The more food items that you bring, the more money will be knocked off the final bill.

Library officials say, however, the donated items do not apply toward lost items.
If you would like to help Amicable Church fill their Thanksgiving Baskets for families in the greater Tiverton area, please bring: corn, peas, green beans, cranberry sauce, stuffing and gravy (pre-made in a can or jar).
