A Tiverton Officer Just Stopped These Drivers; Why The Smiles?
The police decided to hand out July 4 gift cards when they spotted good drivers, according to the department's Facebook post.
TIVERTON, RI—They really did it. The Tiverton police made several drivers' days on July 4 when they pulled over good drivers to reward them with gift cards. The police department had posted the news on its Facebook page, and the officers also showed video proof of the results. At least 25 people collected cards because they weren't speeding and they were wearing their seat belts.
