The grant money came from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

TIVERTON, RI — The Tiverton Police Department debuted three shiny-new cruisers on Monday, paid for by a federal grant. Members of the state's congressional delegation were on hand for the unveiling.
The $61,500 grant comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, along with Congressman David Cicilline, helped the department obtain the grant money to purchase the new cruisers and a brand new bus for the senior center.
Congratulations to the Tiverton Police Department on winning a $61.5K USDA grant for three new cruisers and new senior bus," Senator Reed wrote on Twitter. "Thank you for working around the clock to protect the community."
