TIVERTON, RI — The Tiverton Police Department will not hold its annual safety day because of limits on crowds caused by the coronavirus. Instead, the department is looking for an alternative way to celebrate the community while following social distancing guidelines.

The department is considering a drive-in movie night, where families can stay socially distant in their vehicles while still having fun. The public is invited to offer suggestions for movies or other fun, social distant community events.
