Tiverton Police say both mom and baby are doing well.

TIVERTON, R.I. -- Officers assisted in the delivery of a baby girl in the police department parking lot Monday afternoon.
According to Tiverton Lieutenant James Costa, the department received a call from the baby's father 2:30 p.m., saying he and a 35-year-old woman were pulling into the police station parking lot, and that her contractions were two to three minutes apart.
Officers immediately called for an ambulance and went to assist the woman in the parking lot. A short time later, a healthy baby girl was delivered in the back of the car.
