Tiverton, Rogers High Bowl Game Cancelled On Thanksgiving Day
The cold weather forced the schools to cancel the game, the Newport School Department said.
TIVERTON, RI—Tigers fans will miss a chance to see their championship football team in action one last time this season. Cold weather has forced the school departments to cancel the annual Thanksgiving Day game with Rogers High School, the Newport School Department said.
Many other Turkey Bowl games statewide were moved to another day, but the Rogers game could not be rescheduled.
"We congratulate both teams on their successful seasons," the Newport School Department said.
