Trout Added To Stafford Pond For Columbus Day Weekend Fishing
A 2018 fishing license is required for anyone fishing whose 15 or older.
TIVERTON, RI — The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) is stocking rainbow and brook trout next week at Stafford Pond in advance of Columbus Day weekend fishing.
Fish stocking is the practice of raising fish in a hatching facility and then releasing them into river, ponds, lakes or the ocean to boost existing populations or introduce a new species.

A 2018 fishing license is required for anyone fishing whose 15 or older. A Trout Conservation Stamp is also required of anyone wishing to keep or possess a trout or to fish in a catch-and-release or 'fly-fishing only' area.
