Which RI Beaches Are Open For Monday?

Except for Slack's Reservoir in Greenville/ Johnston, all the beaches are safe for swimming, the state health department said.

LITTLE COMPTON, RI — Except for Slack's Reservoir in Greenville/ Johnston, all the beaches are safe for swimming on Monday, the state health department said. Slack's Reservoir was closed due to blue-green algae blooms. But as of Sunday night, no Rhode Island beach was closed due to high bacteria levels. For Sunday, the state recommended re-opening Goosewing Beach in Little Compton for swimming because bacteria levels were acceptable.

However, the status of a beach can change daily. For the latest, please click here.
