
On Wednesday, SCDOT announced the highways that have been chosen as part of SCDOT’s Act 114 priority based projects. The projects are financed by a combination of federal and state funds totaling $500 million.
The resolution the SCDOT Commission approved to start the projects is HERE.
The Commission recommended using as much as $240 million of the $500 available bond for the I-385 project.

The projects are:
- I-77 widening in Richland County (2.58 miles)Â
- I-26 widening in Lexington/Richland counties (4.89 miles)
- I-20 widening in Lexington County (10.31 miles)
- I-85/I-385 interchange in Greenville County
- I-85 widening in Greenville/Spartanburg counties (24.7 miles)
- I-526widening in Charleston County (19.44 miles) (not including the proposed extension of I-526)
- I-85 widening in Spartanburg/Cherokee counties (28.36 miles)
Federal funds not used toward the I-385/I85 interchange project would be then directed toward additional interstate widening projects, which would allow up to three additional interstate widening projects.
