The County’s Neighborhood Improvement Program is asking for public feedback on a planned restoration project in the Dentsville area.

Located at 2618 Decker Blvd., the Jackson Creek Site Restoration Project aims to transform a vacant site into a community asset, providing green space and enhancing the area ecologically and aesthetically.
Residents can give input and find more information on the County’s concept plan through July 16 by completing a survey at https://tinyurl.com/JCSRPSurvey.

“The project will serve as a catalyst for improving the image of Decker Boulevard, bringing further attention and recognition to the International Corridor,” said Essence Holmes, neighborhood planner for Richland County.
The County aims to provide a piece of wilderness amid the developed area along Decker, complete with an outdoor space for community gatherings, access points to Jackson Creek and educational signage.
Richland County values feedback on the restoration project from members of the community, and the County will use public input to help inform the design plan for the space.
