Sen. Lindsey Graham: 'No Evidence' White House Involved in IRS Mess
Sides with ally John McCain of Arizona.

Sen Lindsey Graham told a radio program on Monday there was no evidence to suggest the IRS' targeting of conservative groups came at the behest of the White House.
Appearing on Fox Radio's "Kilmeade and Friends," Graham's take was in conflict with that of House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa of California, who yesterday referred to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney as a "paid liar." Issa was appearing on CNN's "State of the Union" when he made the comment.
An Inspector General and top IRS officials have said the scandal had no involvement from the White House.Â

But Graham said that does not change the fact that there was a "coordinated effort" by supporters of President Obama to muzzle critics on the right.
He urged Issa to keep holding hearings to get to the bottom of what happened at the IRS.

Graham's ally and friend Sen. John McCain of Arizona also was critical of Issa's choice of words on the matter, when he appeared on CBS' This Morning on Monday.
