Speak Out: Was 49er, Ex-Gamecock Apology for Anti-Gay Comments Sincere?
Chris Culliver has gained national attention by multiple comments prior to the Super Bowl.

A former USC Gamecock, and current San Francisco 49er preparing for the Super Bowl, has apologized for remarks he made this week.
Chris Culliver said in an interview that there is no place for gay men in an NFL locker room.
The comments have not been popular in San Francisco, where there is a large gay and lesbian community.

Late Wednesday, Culliver issued this apology:
"The derogatory comments I made yesterday were a reflection of thoughts in my head, but they are not how I feel," Culliver said. "It has taken me seeing them in print to realize that they are hurtful and ugly. Those discriminating feelings are truly not in my heart. Further, I apologize to those who I have hurt and offended, and I pledge to learn and grow from this experience."
