SuperPAC Aimed at Defeating Lindsey Graham Launches

Group releases web commercial to coincide with launch.

A group calling itself Carolina Conservatives United has announced it has formed a SuperPAC with the intent of defeating Sen. Lindsey Graham in 2014.

"As residents of South Carolina and grassroots activists in the conservative movement, we are concerned not only about Lindsey Graham’s voting record on important issues but also the contempt he regularly displays toward small-government conservative citizens,” said Bruce Carroll, Chairman of the group.

The non-profit released a video (see attached) that details its criticisms of Graham.

Opposition to Graham among conservatives is not new, the challenge has always been to unite that opposition and turn it into votes. There have been signs that could happen this time around.

Carroll told Patch via email that Carolina Conservatives United will not endorse a candidate or run commercials on any candidate's behalf. The primary goal will be to educate voters on Graham's record.
