This Just In: We're Growing from St. Andrews to Columbia Patch!

We're growing to cover more of the Midlands.

Starting Thursday, we will change from St. Andrews Patch to Columbia Patch in an effort to strengthen our coverage of both communities.

Based on the feedback we’ve seen from you, our faithful readers and advertisers, it was just good common sense to rename the site.

Don’t worry: We'll still offer the same robust coverage of everything happening in both communities. We aren’t reducing our focus on either of them!

This is meant to help us provide better coverage of the things that matter to residents of both communities — which is something we’re always striving to do! But as always, if you think we're missing anything, let us know.

Shawn Drury, our state political editor, will continue to serve as local editor. But you should also expect to see other local Patch editors contibuting to the site, including Lexington Patch Editor Tiffany Barkley, Irmo Patch Editor Shireese Bell, Northeast Columbia Patch Editor Jessie Gable and Regional Editor Chris Winston.

We'll celebrate our new beginnings Saturday at the annual St. Patrick's Day festival in Five Points with 40,000 of our closest friends. Be sure to come by and enter for a chance to win tickets to the upcoming Kenny Chesney/ Zac Brown Band concert.
