1 Dead In Fiery Highway 96 Crash
A woman was killed in fiery crash on Highway 96 at Highway 100 near the Davidson-Williamson county line Friday.

FRANKLIN, TN -- A woman was killed in a fiery crash near the Davidson-Williamson county line early Friday.
According to police, two cars driving in opposite directions on State Route 96 near Little East Fork Road, between the Natchez Trace Parkway and State Route 100, collided after an SUV crossed the center line around 4:20 a.m.

The SUV then rolled over and caught fire. The driver was killed. The driver of the other car has serious but not life-threatening injuries and she was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The crash investigation closed Highway 96 between the Natchez Trace and Highway 100 for several hours Friday.

Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
