Antioch Men Arrested In Rash Of Franklin Car Break-Ins

Franklin Police say they found numerous items stolen during the recent rash of auto burglaries.

FRANKLIN, TN -- Franklin Police arrested two men early Tuesday who were allegedly carrying numerous items stolen during the recent rash of auto break-ins.

At 2:20 Tuesday morning, an officer saw a car allegedly run a red light on Murfreesboro Road near downtown Franklin. The driver then reportedly ran a stop sign in an apparent effort to avoid the officer and ultimately crashed into a electrical box on Fifth Avenue North.

The driver and another person then allegedly ran into some nearby woods. A Williamson County Sheriff's Office canine found the driver, 20-year-old Nathan Kifle, hiding in some bushes on Mt. Hope Street. The other person was not apprehended.

A third person - Emmanuel Wol, 20, of Antioch - was still in the wrecked car, police said. Also in the car, according to police, were items taken in the recent auto thefts.

Kifle is charged with felony evading, misdemeanor evading, improper display of registration, disregarding a traffic signal, disregarding a stop sign, drug possession, possession of paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, underage possession of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to report a crash and felony vandalism.

Wol is charged with underage possession of alcohol, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen property. He is also wanted for robbery in Metro.
