Belmont Will Sell O'More Property
Belmont University intends to sell the Franklin campus of the recently acquired O'More College of Design.

FRANKLIN, TN -- The historic campus of O'More College of Design is likely to become one of Franklin's most coveted properties, as Belmont University intends to sell the property.
A Belmont spokesperson confirmed the university's plan in a statement to The Tennessean this week.

"Several parties have expressed interest in the O'More property, but no decisions have been made to date," April Hefner wrote in an email, the paper said. "Since no decisions have been made yet, there's no way to anticipate a timeline."
O'More's seven-acre campus was appraised at $4.78 million in 2016, according to the Williamson County Assessor of Property. It is zoned for single-family homes and is within the Historic Preservation Overlay. The Winstead House, the 1870-built Italianate home that serves as O'More's administration building, is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing property to Franklin's Historic District's NRHP designation, as well.

Belmont announced it was acquiring O'More in February with students and programs moving to its Nashville campus in the fall.
