BrightStone's 'Holiday Happenings' Concert to Benefit Disabled

Brightstone is a nonprofit that helps the developmentally disabled become more independent. Learn how you can support their initiatives

FRANKLIN, TN - BrightStone is a nonprofit that functions as a supportive residential community for the developmentally disabled. They depend on donations and support from the Franklin community to continue to care for disabled adults. From job training workshops to holiday concerts, Brightstone is dedicated to helping the disabled.

Holiday Happenings is a free community choral concert that draws a crowd of over 450 friends. This year, the Christmas Program and Reception is called 'Merry Brightstone Christmas, Y'all!" It will be held on December 8th at 6:30 p.m. in Liberty Hall at The Factory in Franklin, which is located at 230 Franklin Road Franklin, TN.   • Credit Card over the phone. Call 615-790-4888 during regular business hours, Monday - Friday
  • In-Person: visit the Brighstone building at 140 Southeast Parkway Court, Franklin, TN 37064
  • Online donation, either recurring or one time.

Volunteer with Brightstone. The developmentally disabled depend on volunteer support from the community Join the BrightCorps as they accompany participants on evening outings, student fundraisers and more. Donate to the 'Get on The Bus' Campaign. Since the Brightstone students are always on the move, a new bus would be beneficial. The specialty buses that are designed to transport the developmentally disabled are expensive, so Brightstone depends on donations from the community. Their goal is $75,000 and they've currently raised $44,262.

Alternative Gifts are also appreciated by the Brightstone family. There are four different alternative gift options: $10 - 2 boxes of disposable gloves, $25 - paints and ceramic glazes, $50 - fund a community outing, $100 - a 1 hour session of therapeutic yoga.
