Franklin Man Arrested For Mt. Juliet Robberies
A Franklin man is charged with a slew of crimes connected to robberies in Mt. Juliet.

MT. JULIET, TN -- Mt. Juliet police say a Franklin man is responsible for a rash of robberies in the Wilson County city.
Police were called to the 1400 block of Barrett Drive at 5 p.m. Tuesday where someone said they were held up at gunpoint. When officers arrive, they say a witness identified John Claiborne, a 30-year-old Franklin man, as the thief.
Claiborne then took off running, police said, dropping numerous stolen items before he tried climbing under the deck of a business on Mt. Juliet Road.

Police said they found numerous stolen items in nearby drain pipes, on roofs and underneath decks.
In addition to the Barrett Drive stick-up, police believe Claiborne broke into a car on Barrett and attempted another robbery on Weston Drive. He is charged with aggravated robbery, burglary and criminal attempt.
