Franklin Police Ready For Holiday Shopping Season
As shopping season nears, Franklin Police are making plans and offering tips.

FRANKLIN, TN — On Friday, shoppers will begin their annual migration to Cool Springs for the Christmas shopping season and Franklin's police are getting ready, including the installation of a temporary command post at CoolSprings Galleria.
“Franklin offers the best shopping experience around, and we intend to keep it that way,” said Franklin Police Chief Deborah Faulkner. “Franklin Police Officers assigned to the city’s shopping districts willhave zero-tolerance for crime and criminals. We are committed to keeping Franklin safe for our residents, visitors, and businesses.”
The department will increase both visible patrols with marked cars and uniformed officers and more clandestine patrols with plain-clothes officers in unmarked cars in the city's prime shopping districts.

FPD reminds shoppers to "park smart," locking doors and taking any valuables along for the trip, because experienced thieves will often break a window and pop the trunk release to search for purses and other valuables.
