Franklin Tire Jacker Caught Flat Footed: Police
An Antioch man with 14 stolen tires was caught in the act in Franklin Monday, police say.

FRANKLIN, TN -- An Antioch man in the midst of stealing more than a dozen tires was caught thanks to vigilant bystander and rapid police response, Franklin Police said.
Just after 9 p.m. Monday, a worker at a business on Southwinds Drive reported that someone was breaking into Discount Tire. Luckily, a Franklin officer was just around the corner on normal patrol and reportedly spotted 27-year-old Maximiliano Reynes of Antioch loading 14 tires into his van behind the tire store.

Though it was nearly 80 degrees, Reyes was wearing layered clothes and gloves. He is charged with felony theft and is free on bond.
"Without last night’s call from an alert citizen, Reyes’ crime may have gone unsolved. The Franklin Police Department is grateful for the good citizen, for their willingness to get involved, and we encourage others to join with us in making a safer Franklin," the department said in a release.
