Franklin's Dec. 1 Tree Lighting Features 'Surprise' Grammy Winner
Franklin will flip the switch on its 40-foot tree with more than 2,000 lights with the help of a surprise musical guest.

FRANKLIN, TN -- A "surprise Grammy winner" will be on hand when Franklin flips the switch on thousands of lights on the city Christmas tree Friday.
The event begins 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 on the public square and will feature performances from choirs from local middle and high schools as well as the aforementioned special guest.
The 40-foot artificial tree will be festooned with 2,250 lights and a new topper: a star donated by a group of Franklin women.

On hand for the kids: characters from "Star Wars," "The Nutcracker," Peanuts and "Frozen" will be on hand, along with Santa. Photos are free.
And for the grown-ups: the wine and art crawl will commence immediately following.
