Free Car Seats Available For Williamson County Families In Need

Caregivers in need of a little help can get a free car seat or booster at the Williamson County Health Department. Find out how.

FRANKLIN, TN -- Families struggling to afford a new car seat or booster are eligible for the critical safety items at no cost via the Williamson County Health Department.

Through the department's Child Passenger Safety Program, eligible caregivers who fill out a quick application, available online, can enroll in the program.

  • The child should reside with the applicant.
  • Applicant should have an income less than the Federal Poverty Guidelines index based on yearly gross income and household size.
  • Applicant must be a Williamson County resident.
  • Applicant must complete an in-house, 45-minute self-guided training on general child safety topics.
