Justin Timberlake Newest Partner in Franklin's Pilgrimage Festival
Galactic pop star will not perform at this year's event in his adopted hometown.
FRANKLIN, TN — Megastar Justin Timberlake has signed on as the newest partner and producer for the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival in his new hometown of Franklin.
The two-day festival, which will be held for the second time Sept. 24 and 25 on a horse farm in Franklin, announced the new partnership Tuesday.
In a statement, Timberlake said it is "an amazing opportunity to help build an exceptional event and contribute to my community." Timberlake owns a home in Franklin. He was born in Memphis.

Despite the new partnership, the singer will not be performing at this year's edition. Artists scheduled to appear include Beck, Hall & Oates, Jason Isbell and Kacey Musgraves.
