FRANKLIN, TN - The Franklin YMCA is a one stop shop for individuals and families to get fit and learn healthy habits. Patch put together a list of the wellness resources they offer so you and your family can best utilize them. The Franklin Family YMCA is open from 5 a.m. - 10 p.m. and they are located at 501 S Royal Oaks Blvd.

- Dance Blast is a fusion-style dance class that blends hip-hop and Latin choreogrpahy to burn calories and relieve stress. Participants burn between 400 - 600 calories per class. It's offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.
- Zumba Toning takes traditional Zumba choreography and adds in movements designed to build muscle and burn fat. Participants burn between 400 and 600 calories per class. It's offered Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
- Zumba Gold is reserved for the elite Zumba dancers. It's a high intensity dance based workout recommended for those with Zumba experience or a dance background. Participants burn between 400 - 600 calories per class. It's offered Saturdays from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.
- Ai Chi is a water-based hybrid class that Participants burn between 300 and 400 calories per class. It's offered Monday - Friday from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Silver Sneakers Smash is a water-based dance aerobics class designed for seniors. It infuses aerobics and gentle movements to increase flexibility and relieve stress. Participants burn between 200 and 400 calories per class. It's offered Sundays from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.
- Hydroider is a great option for people who enjoy cycling but don't enjoy the stress it can put on your joints. Hop on a stationary bike underwater and get your heart rate up while building endurance. Participants burn between 300 and 400 calories per class. It's offered on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.

- BodyCombat is a martial arts fusion circuit training class designed to build strength and endurance while burning calories. Participants burn between 400 and 600 calories per class. It's offered Monday - Friday from 6 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
- Step/Sculpt is an anaerobic cardiovascular class with muscle toning choreography. Participants burn between 400 and 600 calories per class. It's offered Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m.
- Treadmill Trek is a cardio vascular circuit training class designed to build endurance. Participants burn between 400 and 600 calories per class. It's offered Monday - Friday from 7 a.m - 8:15 a.m.
In addition to exercise classes, The Franklin YMCA offers dietary counseling for families and individuals interested in learning how to create healthy, sustainable eating habits in 2017. You can schedule a meeting with a certified dietitian and develop a plan for weekly grocery shopping, quick-prep meals for the whole family and grab-and-go snacks to keep you full and focused all day. The registered nutritionists at the Franklin YMCA work with your schedule to create a program that works for you and your family.
