Labor Day 2017: What's Closed, What's Open In Franklin
Here's a roundup of what's open and what's closed on Labor Day in Franklin.

FRANKLIN, TN — In America, Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, even though the kids have been in school a few weeks, it may still be 90 degrees some days and scientists insist summer doesn't end until later in September.
This year, Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 4. Being a federal holiday, it means a day off work and school and government offices and banks are closed.

Here's what will be open and closed in Franklin:
- City Offices – Closed
- Library – Closed
- Liquor Stores – Closed. Wine cannot be sold in grocery stores either, so stock up on wine and liquor on Saturday, as, of course, neither can be purchased on Sunday
- Franklin Transit — Franklin Transit fixed-route services will not operate on Labor Day, nor will the RTA-operated express bus routes to Nashville.
- Convenience centers – Williamson County Convenience Centers are closed.
- Williamson County Schools and Administrative Offices – Closed
- State offices and courts – Closed
