Lapels Dry Cleaning coming to greater Nashville area; first store for early 2017 opening
Freedom Cleaners announces three-store development deal.

Lapels Dry Cleaning, an innovative, environmentally friendly dry cleaning company headquartered in Hanover, Massachusetts, recently announced a three-store development agreement with Freedom Cleaners to bring the Future of Dry Cleaning to the greater Nashville area. The first dry cleaning store and plant is slated to open in late first quarter 2017 in either Franklin or Brentwood.
“We’re extremely excited about opening our plant in 2017 as it will represent the first Lapels Dry Cleaning’s location in the state of Tennessee,” said a spokesman for Freedom Cleaners. “Lapels, with its green initiative, truly represents the future of dry cleaning. With a growing, younger, environmentally conscious demographic in Franklin and Brentwood, we think the response will be tremendous.”
Lapels has pioneered its eco-friendly dry cleaning experience over the past dozen years. Lapels has a partnership agreement with GreenEarth®, the dry cleaning industry’s only non-toxic cleaning alternative for its newer locations. Using these kinds of solutions and the latest technology in equipment, Lapels is one of the few dry cleaners able to boast that there is no hazardous waste in their process. Their environmentally-friendly cleaning process has no odor and is gentler on clothes, thus lengthening the life of clothes.

Freedom Cleaners is presently looking for a location to open its dry cleaning plant in Brentwood or Franklin. The development deal with Lapels calls for two additional satellite stores to be opened within the next 24 months. In addition to Franklin and Brentwood, Berry Farms is being considered as a possible location.
“Lapels Dry Cleaning has more than 80 locations nationwide and we’re delighted to be entering the Tennessee market,” said Kevin Dubois, CEO of Lapels Dry Cleaning. “We care about the communities where we have our stores. That starts with going the extra mile to be sensitive to the environment. Yet it also has to do with being active participants in the local community and business community. We look forward to accomplishing both in greater Nashville.”
