New Alternative Learning Center Principal Named
Fairview Middle School assistant principal Josiah Holland will lead the ALC as the Williamson County school system takes over the school.

FRANKLIN, TN -- As the school system sets to take over the school from county juvenile services, Fairview Middle School assistant principal Josiah Holland has been named as the principal for the Alternative Learning Center, WCS Director Mike Looney announced Tuesday.
The district will take over day-to-day responsibility for the ALC next school year while continuing to work with juvenile services.
"Josiah brings a diverse set of experiences to the ALC," Looney said in a statement. "First and foremost, he is a champion of restorative practices. He wants to support students in their personal journey. He wants to see them grow academically and emotionally. Josiah has also shown the ability to meet my standard of instructional leadership. I anticipate under his leadership that students' learning will be seamless as they transition."

"This is an incredibly important job in our district as we grow student leaders at the ALC and work with families to restore these students back to their schools and communities," said Holland. "I will miss my Fairview Middle School family tremendously and all the great work we've been able to do together over the past two years, but I am thrilled to be named to this new role."
Holland earned his bachelor's degree in special education from Middle Tennessee State University and a master's in educational leadership from Lipscomb University. He will begin his new role in July.
