Restaurant Fire Quickly Extinguished At J. Alexander's In Franklin City
Crews said the damage was minor and no injuries were reported.

Franklin, TN – The Franklin Fire Department and Brentwood Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a commercial structure fire just after 4 PM today at J. Alexander’s restaurant, 1721 Galleria Blvd. A 911 caller reported fire on the roof. FFD Ladder 3, the first unit on scene, arrived to find smoke coming from the roof and employees and diners evacuating the building, according to FFD Battalion Chief Tyler Crews.
Firefighters quickly located and extinguished the fire, containing it to the kitchen ventilation system, and preventing it from extending to the structure. Crews said the damage was minor and no injuries were reported. He said the restaurant is closed for clean-up this evening but expected to reopen soon. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
