TSSAA Football Playoffs: Centennial, Franklin and BGA to Host First-Round Games
Cougars earn No. 1 seed, Rebels will host Germantown and Wildcats get King's Academy Friday night.

NASHVILLE, TN — Centennial, Franklin and Battle Ground Academy will all host first-round football playoff games Friday.
The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association released the postseason brackets for high school football early Saturday morning and area teams learned their fates.
In Class 6A, 8-2 Franklin finished second in Region 3 and will host Region 4 No. 7 seed Germantown (3-7); the winner will face the winner of Antioch and White Station. Franklin would host the second-round match-up if the Rebels get past Germantown.

In Class 5A, 9-1 Centennial, Region 7's top team, will host Bolton (5-5). The Cougars-Wildcats winner will face the winner of Brighton and Henry County.
In Division II Class A, Battle Ground Academy (7-3) finished tops in the East/Middle Region. The Wildcats will host King's Academy Friday. The winner will face the University School of Jackson-Friendship Christian winner in the second round. BGA has home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Elsewhere in Williamson County, Brentwood Academy has a first-round bye in Division II Class AA and will host the winner of Father Ryan and McCallie. In Class 6A, Ravenwood (5-5) will travel to Germantown Houston. In 5A, undefeated defending champions and Region 5 winner Independence will host Gallatin, while Region 7 runner-up Brentwood (6-4) will host Memphis' Kirby and Summit (7-3) travels to undefeated Cane Ridge. In 4A, Page (6-3) hosts Chattanooga Central with a match-up against either undefeated Stone Memorial or Spring Hill looming in the second round. In Class 3A, undefeated Fairview, the Region 6 champs, will host East Nashville.
