Black cats and dogs are often among the last animals adopted out of a shelter.
“Black cats and dogs deserve the same wonderful life that other animals do,” shelter director Laura Chavarria said. “But, they are often the last ones adopted. This after-Thanksgiving event has become a shelter tradition, and we always get a great response from the community.”
