Williamson County Student Arrested After School Threat

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said a juvenile is in custody after posting a threat against schools overnight.

FRANKLIN, TN -- A juvenile accused of making threats against Williamson County schools is in custody, the sheriff's department said.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said there is "no known threat to Centennial High School or Independence High School" Monday and that a student who posted threats to social media has been arrested.

The arrest comes a day after a threat to "CHS" went viral, worrying students and parents that the CHS is in question was Centennial. The Franklin Police Department debunked that Sunday, saying that they had confirmed with authorities in New Mexico that the threat was to that state's Clovis High School. The person alleged to have made the Clovis threat has also been arrested.
