Williamson County Student Arrested For School Threat
An Independence High School student was arrested Friday after allegedly making threats.
THOMPSON'S STATION, TN -- Williamson County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Independence High School student Friday for making threats in the wake of the deadly Parkland, Fla. shooting.
According to the sheriff's office, the student made threatening remarks and other students who overheard the student alerted school staff and the school resource officer.
The sheriff's office won't offer specifics on the threats, but did say there was no actual danger to students or staff.
