CAC To Hold 40th Anniversary Legacy Luncheon Fundraiser in May
Proceeds from the awards luncheon will benefit Community Assistance Center programs aimed at helping Montgomery County residents in need.
CONROE, TX — The Community Assistance Center will celebrate its 40th anniversary at the 2021 Legacy Awards Luncheon, which will be held May 14 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. with a silent auction and mimosa reception. All proceeds will benefit CAC programs, including its food pantry, clothing assistance, disaster relief and rent and basic needs assistance for Montgomery County residents.
Keynote speaker Liz Murray, co-founder and executive director of The Arthur Project, will discuss personal motivation and what it takes to make a difference in others' lives. Murray, an advocate for underserved youth, grew up in poverty in The Bronx and earned a scholarship to Harvard, where she graduated in 2009.

The luncheon will recognize local community members who promote the CAC and its mission and make significant contributions to help fellow Montgomery County residents in need.
