A Conroe student won the chance to attend a prestigious literary conference.

Conroe, TX -- With his essay on journalist Lisa Song's struggle to report on the 2011 Kalamazoo, MI oil pipeline spill, Oliver Kneen won the opportunity to attend a nationally recognized literary conference.
Kneen, who attends the Andrew Rodman American School, can attend the Mayborn Literary Nonfriction Conference at the University of North Texas.
The Mayborn, as it is called, started in 2005 and brings well-known writers like Gilbert King and Sydney P. Freedberg to the University of North Texas to talk about writing for a weekend.
