According to the release from the Fire Marshal's Office, while the cause of the fire remains under investigation, Fire Investigators do not suspect foul play and are patiently waiting while the surviving family members grieve and regain their health. Montgomery County firefighters have been working together with members of the media and business community to promote fire safety, not only in the Tamina Community, but throughout Montgomery County.

At a date to be determined soon, Needham Firefighters and Montgomery County Fire Marshals will be joined by Firefighters and community leaders from across the County as they go door to door throughout the Tamina Community.

The goal is to install working smoke alarms with long life batteries in every bedroom in every home in Tamina, totaling over 200 homes. Smoke Alarm manufacturers Kidde Inc. and First Alert have already stepped up and donated hundreds of smoke alarms, all equipped with lithium batteries designed to last up to 10 years.
