Keough Speaks Against Biden's Door-To-Door Vaccine Campaign
County Judge Mark Keough assured residents in a Facebook post Wednesday that vaccines will never be required in Montgomery County.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough responded to President Joe Biden's plan for a door-to-door vaccine campaign Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Biden outlined a hyperlocal strategy to increase COVID-19 vaccination rates, including a door-to-door campaign to disseminate information on vaccines. Biden said he wanted to move focus from mass vaccination sites to getting doses of the virus to more family practitioners and local health care providers, according to ABC News.
In a Facebook post Wednesday, Keough rejected the idea and assured residents that vaccines will never be forced in Montgomery County.

"With yesterday’s announcement that the Biden administration will begin a door to door vaccine campaign, I want to reassure you that here in Montgomery County at no time will vaccines be forced," Keough said in the post. "Since day 1 vaccines have been voluntary and will remain that way."
The post also included a stock photo of a man in a suit tied to a tree. The text of the meme stated, "Biden's door to door vaccine agent after his first attempt in Montgomery County."
