Marco's Pizza Hosts Grand Opening In Conroe This Sunday

CONROE, TX – One of the nation’s favorite pizza brands, Marco’s Pizza, opened a new location in Conroe. Situated at 9803 Highway 242, Ste. 100, locals can expect a Primo Italian pizza experience that uses the freshest, highest-quality ingredients.

The owner of the new location is celebrating with a grand opening event for the public on Sunday, Jan. 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Free pizza, bounce houses, a DJ, face-painting plus local vendors and giveaways will be offered on-site.

The Conroe Marco’s Pizza location is owned and operated by local resident, Ajit (AJ) Merchant. AJ moved from India to the United States in 2000 to follow his American dream, which was to own and operate his own business.

When he first moved to the U.S. he worked for a jewelry wholesale company that imported diamonds from India and he eventually opened his own jewelry store in 2007.

After opening a total of three jewelry businesses in local malls, he decided to pursue other ventures and that’s when he decided to look into opening a restaurant. He is excited to turn his focus to his newest business in the Conroe area.

“After I decided I wanted to get into the pizza industry, I went around to various local pizzerias and tried their product,” said Merchant. “When I tried Marco’s Pizza for the first time, I just knew this pizza was the one for me. The fresh ingredients and homemade dough really set Marco’s Pizza apart from the competition. I can’t wait for the residents in Conroe to try this pizza and fall in in love with it, just like I did.”
