Montgomery County Proposes Transportation Manager at Meeting in Conroe

CONROE, TX — At a recent meeting, various elected officials and regional mobility leaders proposed the idea of a transportation manager for Montgomery County.

The position will initially be funded out of Montgomery County Precinct 4 Commissioner Jim Clark's budget. Clark has said that if the position makes a positive impact the commissioners will fund the transportation manager out of general revenue in the next budget cycle.

While details of the position are sketchy to non-existent, since the creation of the position was proposed at a meeting that included representatives from both the public and non-profit sector, it's fair to say that one of the manager's primary jobs will be to coordinate with all the various service providers in the county.
