Montgomery County Reaches Over 177K Fully Vaccinated Residents
According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, over 35 percent of county residents age 12 and older are fully vaccinated.
CONROE, TX — Montgomery County passed 177,000 fully vaccinated residents the Montgomery County Public Health District announced Monday.
According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, 177,495 Montgomery County residents age 12 and older have been fully vaccinated. That's 35.28 percent of the county's 12-and-older population.
DSHS reported last week that 163,301 Montgomery County residents 16 and older had been fully vaccinated. The updated population metric comes after the Food and Drug Administration gave the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine emergency use authorization for children 12 and older on May 10.

MCPHD confirmed Monday that a Porter woman in her 50s died after testing positive for COVID-19, increasing COVID-19 deaths in Montgomery County to 305.
MCPHD reported 175 new cases Monday, bringing the county total to 54,188. There are 1,298 active cases in Montgomery County, an increase of 73 since Friday. There are 57 COVID-19 hospitalizations in Montgomery County, a decrease of four since Friday, including 19 in intensive care.

MCPHD continues to encourage residents to get vaccinated. The Woodforest Bank Stadium vaccine hub in Shenandoah is closing June 3 and will be administering only second doses of vaccine until then.
