1 COVID-19 Death, 126 More Cases In Montgomery County

Montgomery County Public Health District reports a Conroe woman in her 70s died from the virus.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – The Montgomery County Public Health District reported 126 new cases of COVID-19 and one virus-related death Wednesday.

Officials reported the latest death was a Conroe woman in her 70s, bringing the county’s total to 274 deaths.

Montgomery County has 50,866 recorded cases since the start of the pandemic with 1,818 still active, an increase of 29 active cases since Tuesday. Officials said that 99 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the county, and 104 county residents are known through contact investigations to be hospitalized with the virus.

The positivity rate — the percentage of positive cases to tests — is down to 8% from 9% last week.
