Stores, Restaurants Open On Memorial Day 2021 In Montgomery Co.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — Memorial Day is just around the corner in Conroe and all across Montgomery County. While many will mark the day of remembrance by spending the day with family and friends, it’s important to note which businesses will be open if you head out that day to shop or grab a bite to eat.

While the true meaning of the day is to remember, many also view it as the unofficial start of summer and spend the day gathered with friends and family.

Many local facilities and government offices will close on Memorial Day in remembrance of the men and women who served and gave their lives for the United States.

Here’s a look at what’s open and closed in Montgomery County on Memorial Day:

Memorial Day is a county holiday, which means Montgomery County buildings will be closed, including all locations in the Montgomery County Public Library system. These include:

• George & Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library, The Woodlands
• Malcolm Purvis Library, Magnolia
• R.B. Tullis Library, New Caney

Trash pickup services for Conroe and The Woodlands will run as scheduled. The Woodlands Township will be closed for the holiday as will Montgomery City Hall.

If you’re hoping to step out for some shopping or plan to skip the backyard barbecue altogether, you’re in luck, because many big box stores and chain restaurants will be open on Memorial Day this year.
