A SWAT Standoff in Conroe ended with a man killing his daughter and himself.

CONROE, TX — A SWAT standoff ended in tragedy when a man killed his three-year-old daughter and himself on the night of Friday, July 29.

Deputies from the Montgomery County Pct. 3 Constable's Office went to the man's apartment in the 15500 block of the North Freeway Service Road. They were there to serve him papers letting him know he'd lost custody of his daughter.

The situation escalated. The man refused to open the door, he started messaging his ex-wife. He threatened to hurt the girl.

After a while, the man walked out of the apartment. He held a pistol to his head, stared down the cops for about 20 minutes. Then he shot himself.

The police entered the apartment, found the girl dead. From a gunshot wound.
