MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — The New Caney and Montgomery school boards are discussing personnel matters regarding curriculum directors, and The Woodlands Township Board of Directors has several tourism and events items this week.

Monday:

A presentation of design concepts for Montgomery's Downtown Design & Streetscape Improvements project will be held at Montgomery City Hall at 5 p.m. No city business will be conducted at the presentation.
The New Caney ISD Board of Trustees will deliberate a property item in closed session during its regular 6 p.m. meeting and also will consider the hiring of a new executive director of instructional programs. Click here for the full agenda.

Splendora ISD will discuss and possibly sign off on its 2021-22 compensation plan at its regular 6:30 p.m. board meeting. The board also will discuss personnel matters in closed session. For the full agenda, click here.

Tuesday:
The Montgomery ISD Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. before its regular 6 p.m. meeting. The board will enter closed session to discuss the position of executive director of curriculum and instruction. That item also is on the agenda for the regular meeting, as is the consideration of approval of an agreement with Montgomery County regarding incident management towing rotation services. The Willis City Council will discuss and take action on requesting additional funds for paving projects on Felder and South Wood Streets at its 5:30 p.m. meeting. The council also is seeking to set a joint public hearing with the Planning and Zoning Commission for June 15 to hear public comments on property rezoning proposals. Click here for the full agenda.

Wednesday:
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will hold a special meeting at 11:30 a.m., where it will discuss the major event venue sponsor agreement, an adjustment and continuation of its partnership with Visit The Woodlands as its official destination marketing organization, as well as the 2022 budget. The board also will discuss negotiations with Copa Rayados Internacional, a youth soccer tournament with economic impact averages between $4.5 million and $6.8 million that past three years.
