Willis ISD Offering Free Heart Screenings for Athletes

Willis ISD is offering student athletes the chance to get free heart screenings.

WILLIS, TX — Student athletes playing for Willis ISD will have a chance to get a free heart screening from Who We Play For Cypress ECG Project on Wednesday, Aug. 10.

The screenings are available to incoming seventh, ninth and eleventh grade students as well as athletes new to the district. The screenings will be held at Willis High School, 1201 F.M. 830, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The screenings will be broken down by age and gender, no registration is required. Students only need to arrive at the specified time.

7th grade Girls: 8-8:45 a.m.

7th grade Boys: 8:45-9:15 a.m.

9th grade Girls: 9:15-10 a.m.

9th grade Boys: 10-10:45 a.m.

11th grade Girls: 10:45-11:15 a.m.

11th grade Boys: 11:15 a.m.- noon

New Students: 10:45 a.m. to noon
