A Wireless offering free phone drying services to Hurricane Harvey victims

More than 20 Houston-area and Louisiana stores using Redux technology to remove moisture from wet cell phones, tablets and wearables

Hurricane Harvey victims are facing tremendous, unimaginable loss but Verizon retailer A Wireless wants to make sure that their ability to communicate with loved ones isn’t one of those things.
From now until Sept. 30, the leading exclusive authorized retailer for Verizon is offering free phone drying services to Hurricane Harvey victims. More than 20 Houston-area and Louisiana stores are using Redux technology to remove moisture from wet cell phones, tablets and wearables.
Redux uses a patented technique to remove moisture from wet devices, returning most of them to working condition. Under normal circumstances, a successful wet device recovery is valued at up to $100. The technology can also recover liquid-damaged smartwatches, fitness monitors, hearing aids, tablets, Bluetooth headsets and more.
While we all recognize the importance of being able to call or text a loved one, Redux can also help save precious photos, videos and other important data stored on the phone.

A Wireless encourages guests to call their local store to ensure it is open as some locations have been affected by flooding.
To help obtain a successful recovery, customers are encouraged not to plug the device in, turn it off immediately and remove the battery, if possible. For devices in which users cannot remove the battery, the battery’s state of charge may play a factor in the phone’s ability to be revived. The drying process typically takes less than one hour.
