The Woodlands To Ponder Thoroughfare Plan: The Agenda In MoCo

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — The week following Memorial Day is light on public meetings, but there are a pair of special meetings called by Montgomery ISD and The Woodlands Township.

Here is what's on the agenda in Montgomery County this week.

Tuesday:

The Montgomery ISD Board of Trustees held a special meeting at 4 p.m. and went into executive session to discuss the position of principal at Montgomery Elementary School. Consideration of facility upgrades at Lake Creek High School also is on the action agenda. Here is the full agenda.

Wednesday:

The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. to discuss and consider a resolution on 2021 Montgomery County Thoroughfare Plan and its potential impact on The Woodlands. It's the only item on the agenda. The board drafted a pair of resolutions opposing certain aspects of the updated Thoroughfare Plan in 2016, namely extensions of Woodlands Parkway, Grogan's Mill Road, Gosling Road and Branch Crossing.
