The Woodlands To Resume Incorporation Study: The Agenda In MoCo
After putting the Draft 2020 Incorporation Planning Study on hold in 2020, the Board of Directors is ready to move forward again.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will hear reports relating to the Draft 2020 Incorporation Planning Study and will discuss incorporation-related financial matters at a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will take place at The Woodlands Township located at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd. The planning study has been conducted by The Novak Consulting Group since 2018 but was put on hold in the spring of 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Board of Directors requested a status report at its recent meeting May 26.

The Willis City Council will elect a Mayor Pro Tem at its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. at Willis City Hall, located at 200 N. Bell St. The City Council also will convene a joint meeting with the Willis Planning and Zoning Commission to hear public comments on rezoning measures that would reclassify more land for various housing before considering action on the proposals. The Conroe ISD Board of Trustees will discuss and consider names for several new buildings and schools at its regular meeting at 6 p.m. in the CISD Administration Building at 3205 W. Davis St., including new and current junior high schools in the Caney Creek feeder zone, a new elementary school in the Conroe feeder zone and a teacher training center. The board also will go into executive session to discuss personnel matters. Here is the full agenda.
The Montgomery ISD Board of Trustees will hold special and regular sessions Tuesday, with the special session beginning at 5 p.m. and the regular starting at 6 p.m. Both meetings will take place at the MISD Education Support Center at 20774 Eva St. The board will enter closed session to discuss employment for the positions of executive director of specialized learning, director of transportation and director of community services before taking possible action on those items. Thursday:
The Willis ISD Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 8:30 a.m. at the Sharon Hill Jennette Administration Building. The board will consider action on adjustments to contracts for the new Pre-K building project as well as projects for an addition to Lynn Lucas Middle School and gym additions to four elementary schools. The board also consider action on disposal of unnecessary equipment valued over $10,000 as well as consider approval of a purchase over $50,000. For the full agenda, click here.
