Signing Ceremony Paves Way For New Educational Campus In Harlingen
The campus will allow high school students to undergo dual enrollment.

The City of Harlingen along with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District will hold a signing ceremony that officially gives way for the construction of a brand new educational campus on Medical Drive near the Regional Academic Center in Harlingen. The campus will allow high school students to undergo dual enrollment while UTRGV students take college classes and earn a four-year university degree in their home town.

This is a joint partnership between the three entities and a momentous occasion for Harlingen and surrounding communities. The City donated the land to UTRGV who will work with HCISD to build the new facility and share the cost of the construction that should be complete by March 2021.
