US Census To Hold Job Fair In Harlingen

HARLINGEN, TX — If you’re looking for a part time job with flexible hours, then the US Census may be able to help. In advance of the 2020 Census, thousands of people are needed to help with the Census count.

On December 14, the US Census will hold a job fair in Harlingen to recruit local people to work in Harlingen and Cameron County. The positions are part-time with flexible hours and those hired could earn up to $18 an hour.
Some of the requirements include:

- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a valid Social Security number.
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Have a valid email address.
- Complete an application and answer assessment questions.
- Pass a criminal background check and a review of criminal records, including fingerprinting.
- Commit to complete training.
- Be available to work flexible hours, which can include days, evenings, and/or weekends.
The job fair is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Harlingen Cultural Arts Center located at 576 ’76 Drive just behind the public library.
